The Computer Centre is located within a self contained room in the upper part of the Powerhouse. There is a lift up to the centre for those who find the stairs difficult. The Centre is fully equipped with 10 computers, printer, furniture and ancilliary equipment.
'Games and Planes' The Computer Centre has been the base for an exciting oral history project called “Games and Planes” which is recording digitally the stories of people who lived in the Westcourt area in the 1940’s and/or who worked at the airfield and susequent factories on what is now the Riverview estate. The project is ongoing and is funded through the National Lottery Heitage Fund. Go to the Games and Planes webpage to find out more.
