St Aidan's is the Church of England parish church serving two large areas of housing, schools and shops: Westcourt and Riverview Park, Gravesend. The church was dedicated in 1964 but historically speaking, the area was part of the ancient parish of Chalk St Mary. We continue to bear witness to Christ in the community through sacrament, prayer and community engagement. You are very welcome.
Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is very important to us. See the 'About us' section for details of who to contact in the parish. Policies, advice and information from the Diocese of Rochester can be found in the 'Links' section.
Our Services: We are now open for worship, there is no need to book. Face coverings are recommended but not legally required. Sunday School will hopefully resume in September. Below is our current pattern of worship. Sunday worship is also live streamed on Facebook. This can be accessed here

Black Lives Matter: St Aidan's is a very diverse church, with people from many nations in Africa, from the Caribbean and Sri Lanka. We celebrate that diversity and abhor any form of racism or discrimination. We welcome people from all backgrounds and cultures here. The Church of England has welcomed the recent report into racism in the Church of England, From Lament to Action. St Aidan's also welcomes this report, which can be read here. We will be looking at how we as a parish respond, but it will be grounded in celebrating diversity and working to represent that in our mission.
Please see the Church of England website for access to online worship. For those who have no internet access, the Church of England has a free phone line 'Daily Hope', with reflections, hymns and prayers. It is available 24/7. 0800 804 8044
